Classic vs. Volume Lash Extensions

People often ask me what the difference between classic and volume lashes is? Well here is a perfect visual example of the difference.

Classic lashes are applied one extension to one natural lash, where volume lashes are fans made of 2-6 lashes (2D-6D) to one natural lash!

Note- Classic lashes are 0.15-0.25mm thick where volume lashes are 0.05-0.10 mm thick. So no worries about volume lashes being too heavy! In fact they are even lighter than classic lashes ūüôā

Chalene’s Boudoir Shoot

As you all probably know already, I teamed up with the amazing Jenn Huynh of Bloom Photography for a Boudoir Marathon back in November, and I now have the full photo shoot photos to share with everyone!

Doing the makeup for this type of shoot is SO MUCH fun. ¬†Don’t get me wrong, I love my brides and doing their wedding day makeup, but sometimes¬†most of the time brides want to play it safe on their wedding day. I was one of those brides. lol. ¬†But when it comes to any other type of shoot, I can really have fun with colour and contouring and LASHES…of my love for lashes!!!! ¬†This Boudoir shoot was just what I needed after a year of weddings and “natural bridal makeup” hehe ūüôā

Freedom to do creative, dramatic and sexy makeup.  I L.O.V.E.D it!!!!  I can finally showcase something OTHER than the natural look. It feels so great to share this with everyone and to expand my portfolio outside of bridal makeup!!! Yay!

Without further ado….here is Chalene’s Boudoir shoot. ¬†For Chalene, I wanted a really defined smokey eye, but nothing too harsh and no hard lines. ¬†The best way to achieve that is by using dark brown and charcoal tones instead of black!!

Product Review!!

* This is a pen style liquid liner.  I have used it in the past and the felt tip actually gives a really nice soft line, unlike most harsh liquid liners.  With the longer handle it is comfortable to hold (just like a pen), and easier to get a precise, straight line.  I will say though….it dries out quite a bit faster than a liquid liner in a pot/tube, however,  it is a better alternative to the flimsy, bristle-y brushes that come with most liquid eyeliner!
